Eg var inne på hifiklubben i ålesund og såg meg om kring og då hørte eg på eit anleg som dei sa att det spelte i hd lyd..

Det er kanskje DVD-AUDIO eller SACD du tenker på

Ja, det er vel det man ønsker på nye lydformater. Med høyere mendge på datastrømmen, er det rom for flere detaljer og mer dynamikk i lydbildet, og lyden er mindre komprimert, slik at kunstig støy som følge av komprimering reduseres (f.eks. tunnelsuset og ekkoet du får med hardt komprimert MP3-lyd med lav bitrate). Det er også rom for flere kanaler (8 kanaler (7.1) i motsetning til 6 (5.1)).
Men dataene tar da mer plass, og derfor har dette først vært mulig med HD-DVD og BlueRay.

Men om du har ører og elektronikk til å få noe utbytte av dette, er jo en annen sak.

"HD-lyd" følger av formatet på plata men er i praksis det samme som DVD-Audio.
